WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the infallible, perfect, heavenly-inspired, Word of God.

We believe the Holy Bible to be a collection of 66 books from Genesis to Revelation.

We believe the Holy Bible to be the supreme standard and final authority by which our creeds, conduct, and doctrines are to be judged.

THE GODHEAD

We believe there is One Holy and Almighty God, eternally existent in three co-equal, co-eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. (1 John 5:7)

We believe God the Father saves us from sin through His Son, Jesus Christ.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is the second co-eternal person of the Godhead, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Ghost. In flesh, he was man. In essence, he was God.

We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.

We believe faith in Jesus Christ is the only means to salvation. (John 14:6)

We believe in justification, that it is the pardoning of sins and granting of eternal life on principles of righteousness.

We believe in the crucifixion, death, burial, bodily resurrection, and pre-millennial second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

THE HOLY GHOST

We believe the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) is the third co-eternal person of the Godhead, co-equal with the Father and the Son.

We believe the Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father and the Son (Jesus Christ) to dwell in all believers.

We believe all have sinned and the Holy Ghost regenerates those who believe in Jesus Christ. (Titus 3:5)

THE CHURCH

We believe the Church is a living spiritual body in which Christ is the Head, Pastors (Bishops), Elders, and Deacons are officers, and all regenerated believers are members. (1 Timothy 3:1-13, Ephesians 5:24-27)

We believe all Christians (the Church) are responsible for living a life according to God's Holy Word.

We believe Jesus Christ has given two ordinances to the Church. The Lord's Supper and Water Baptism.

We believe the Lord's Supper is to be commemorated with bread, symbolizing the broken body of Christ, and wine (or juice) symbolizing the shed blood of Christ. It is to always be proceeded by solemn self-examination.

We believe in water baptism as the immersion of a believer in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is an outward expression of an inward change. (Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe all Christians are subject to God for all matters of life.

We believe local churches are to work together to promote the cause of Christ.

We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a holy union between one man and one woman, as described by God's Word.
